The apres ski in Morzine is EXCELLENT. Morzine
alone boasts over 15 cool bars, and three night
clubs - it is well known for it's great apres ski.
There are also all the bars and hangouts in Avoriaz
to choose from for early evening apres ski.
Bars
‘The Place’
in Avoriaz has live, non-French music and an ‘excellent
atmosphere’.
‘Les Ruches’
and ‘Le Choucas’
are hangouts for riders; the latter offers live
music and is usually not too crowded.
‘Le Tavaillon’
was described by one reporter as ‘the
nerve centre of Avoriaz’.
Budda Bar – very
cool relaxed and alternative. Lots of rugs and incense!
Other evening stuff
Inside the Wallington complex
is a bowling alley, pool hall, bar and disco open
late.
The nightclubs
L’Opéra
and Le Paradis de Laury’s
are the main night clubs offering some interesting
nights!
Le Festival and
Midnight Express discos charge entrance fees,
and Midnight Express offers a free ‘bucking
bronco’.
Morzine also has loads of restaurants to choose
from on the chalet staff's day off. Here are just
a few of them.
Neige Roc at Les Prodains and Le Tremplin are praised
by reporters.
L’Etale serves regional specialities in a
‘wonderful, authentic mountain atmosphere’,
and La Chamade and La Grange are both highly rated
